私の作品は自然から得られる主題が多い。素材を得る場所もまた自然である。このような自然の産物の中で私は故郷のような安らぎを得る。サイザル麻を利用した私の乾漆作品の中にも自然が存在する。この素材を利用した乾漆制作は新しい技法の誕生であったため、1992年から95年の留学以降現在までも興味を持ち、この制作を続けている。

My works are mostly inspired from nature. Materials used are also from nature. Having myself close to the nature’s produce I feel calmness as though I’m at my hometown. Nature also exits inside my urushi works that use sisal hemp. A kanshitsu work using this material was new so I have been interested in it since I studied abroad in Japan between 1992 and 1995. I still continue using this technique.
