漆にて装身具や立体作品を制作してきました。漆は、乾漆の技法により様々に成形でき、螺鈿・蒔絵などの装飾技法により、無限の表現の可能性を感じています。漆の装身具はそれを身に付けた人が、五感を通し地水火風空つまり万物と一体化し、自然と交差することが出来る状態になる「体感装置」であると受け止めています。

I have created body ornaments and objects using urushi Urushi can be put into various forms with the kanshitsu process (dry lacquering). And with techniques such as raden (mother of pearl inlay) and makie (sprinkled metallic powder), urushi has infinite possibilities. My body ornaments are “experience devices” that enable the wearers to use their five senses and identify with the universe－earth, water, fire, wind and air －and intersect with nature.
